Face Masks on Public Transport

It is no longer necessary to wear masks and face coverings on any form of public transport, as regulations were relaxed on 24th February. Previously they were necessary on all Transport for London (TfL) services, like buses and Tube, as a condition of carriage. This is no longer the case.

However, both TfL and Network Rail train operators still recommend that face coverings be worn when services and stations are crowded.

In connection with this recent change the first paragraph of the Public Transport article in the March 2022 edition of the Gazette is no longer correct, as it is now superseded by the information given above.
