A message from the Chairman

Welcome to the Petts Wood and District Residents' Association website - we do hope you find it both useful and informative.  I consider it an immense privilege to be the elected Chairman of the Association, which represents well over 3000 Petts Wood households.  That said, we are always looking to recruit more widely, so if you have a friend or neighbour who you know is not a member - do please encourage them to join.  I don't think there will be too many households who would baulk at the £5 annual subscription!

Members will know from their monthly Gazette, delivered by hand direct to their door by our faithful Road Stewards, just how much work goes on on behalf of local residents, and our aims which are introduced on the home page of this website encapsulate the spirit of all that work.  The important thing though is that we represent you.  We will always welcome willing hands happy to assist in our work or help at an event, and we rely on you, the residents of Petts Wood, to keep us abreast of issues of concern, or work you think we can help promote.

Your committee comprises a number of portfolio posts covering a diverse cross-section of local issues ranging from transport to planning, health to education, traffic and parking to public transport.  Other areas covered include policing and crime, the environment, the National Trust, and community issues.  The committee meets monthly to discuss current matters, receives reports from each officer, and we have an AGM open to all members in March.
